Helping you balance body, mind and spirit
Rebekah offers acupuncture and clinical counselling in Victoria, BC — for pain, hormonal conditions, stress, and chronic and emotional health concerns. Her approach combines classical Traditional Chinese Medicine with a counsellor’s attention to what sits underneath the physical symptom. Many sessions do both at once: needles for the body, conversation for the heart and mind.
She is one of relatively few acupuncturists specially trained in facial rejuvenation acupuncture, and she offers an unusual combination of clinical counselling with auricular (ear) acupuncture using the NADA protocol — a gentle way to settle an activated nervous system while difficult things are being discussed. Wherever you are starting from, it is never too late to begin feeling better.

Understanding the medicine
Traditional Chinese acupuncture
Acupuncture is a holistic system of healing nearly five thousand years old, only “discovered” by Western medicine in the last fifty years. It assesses the whole person — body, mind and spirit — rather than isolating a single symptom. The World Health Organization recognizes acupuncture as effective for over seventy-five conditions.

Auricular (ear) acupuncture and the NADA protocol
Auricular acupuncture treats the whole body through points on the ear. The specific five-needle NADA protocol was developed in the 1970s at Lincoln Hospital in the Bronx for addiction cravings and withdrawal, and is now used in more than two thousand programs across forty-plus countries, including for post-traumatic stress. Rebekah is a NADA-certified Registered Trainer.

Facial rejuvenation acupuncture
Used since the Sung Dynasty to preserve the complexion of the imperial court, facial rejuvenation acupuncture balances the body’s energy while toning and rejuvenating the skin. A full course runs about twelve sessions, with results usually most noticeable by the seventh.

Cupping and moxibustion
Cupping uses suction to relieve muscle tension, ease congestion and improve circulation and lymph flow. Moxibustion, the therapeutic burning of mugwort near the skin, warms the body’s meridians, dries damp and supports immune function — especially welcome through a cold, wet Island winter.
